LA JARDINERA — mural in Quilpué, Chile

In Quilpué there is a nice little restaurant called MokaVad, an oasis of fusion cuisine, mixing the best of Chilean and Mediterranean food run by my good friend Felipe. I am always fascinated by other artists doing their magic and so I had the pleasure of painting this mural (already the second one for his restaurant)  in 2022, dedicating it half to him, half to the tragically majestic full-time and full-life artist Violeta Parra, whom I admire a lot.

“La Jardinera”, one of my favourite songs of her, came up right when I was in the process of painting this wall, making me take some time to contemplate and rearrange my thoughts.

so I had no choice but to dedicate this painting to her.
