Nuestra propia existencia nos plantea un sinfín de desafíos, personales, globales, materiales, psicológicos,entre muchos más. Mientras la existencia se refiere más a actos y eventos reales, la esencia nos brinda un término más ideológico, más espiritual. La esencia, según el Diccionario de la RAE, es aquello que constituye la naturaleza de las cosas, lo permanente e invariable de ellas. Pero, ¿es posible encontrarla, esta esencia que nos promete entregar un sentido a nuestra existencia? La palabra “WESEN” no solamente describe un ser vivo, un ente, sino se refiere también a la esencia en su forma general, trans-individual. Cada criatura se convierte en una expresión del mismo sentido, un síntoma de la misma eternidad. La exposición del artista alemán Robin Kowalewsky alias ROMOKO profundiza esta temática a través de una investigación artística, oscilando entre mundos existentes y dimensiones posibles. La respuesta no es ni científica ni absoluta, sino interpretativa, utilizando el cuento y el mito como herramientas, como sugerencias pedagógicas, para decubrirlo. Detrás de cada pintura se abre una puerta, un portal, un espejo que nos deja ver a nosotros mismos: WESEN – en busca de la ESENCIA invita a re-encontrarte. The novel “Der Räuber Hotzenplotz” is a German classic, so obviously I had to incorporate it in my Mural. Since the aesthetics of this bar is already monochrome, we decided to go with a black and white style - something I haven´t painted for a long time. The final illustration is loosely based on the novel, but giving it a modern twist with - of course - a masked creature serving as a protector of space and time. This mural is located in&nbsp;Almte. LAS VIZCACHAS— Mural in Santiago, Chile, 2024 In January 2024 I painted my fourth Starbucks Shop in Chile, at the outskirts of Santiago. The task was not only to paint the outside facade, but also giving the inside some nice touches of illustrative art. The initial concept was to cover the whole wall with a profound, richly detailled mural, which was later changed by the design department to have a more “sober” and cleaner look.
